This policy explains what the MathsLen AI app collects, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Learning profile: academic level, exam targets, weak areas and study goal you choose during setup.
- Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz answers and scores, XP, streaks and leaderboard position.
- AI tutor and Problem Solver content: the questions and problems you type or speak, and the answers generated.
- Parent email (optional): if you enter it, to send progress reports.
- Wallet details (optional): if you set up withdrawals, your bank name, account number and account name, or mobile-money provider and number.
- Purchases: whether your account has bought activation. Payment is handled by Google Play; we never see your card details.
- Microphone: only when you tap the mic in the AI tutor. Speech is converted to text by your device's speech service; we do not store audio.
How we use it
To run your account, personalise lessons, generate AI explanations, track progress, show leaderboards, send reports you request, process withdrawals you request, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Anthropic (Claude AI): the text of tutor questions, problems and lesson requests is sent to generate responses.
- Google Play Billing and RevenueCat: purchase processing and verification.
- Flutterwave (only if you request a withdrawal): payout processing.
- Our hosting provider: stores the MathsLen database.
Security
All data is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Access to the database is restricted.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by following the steps at mathslen.com/delete-account.html.
Children
MathsLen is designed for secondary-school and university students. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please use the app with a parent or guardian's permission. Parents may contact us to review or delete their child's data.
